Description

From your geek sister, a twin dress for the two ladies of the upcoming third chapter of the Dune movies: this dress can be for Irulan, in a grey and silver palette, with white pearls, or for Alia, in  deep crimson and black.

The dress

It starts from a bespoke corset. Not the base one I usually make when asked, a foundation garment with the most conical shape one can imagine, to work as base for the rest of the dress. This set features a beaded wire mask, inspired by the pieces worn by Rebecca Ferguson as Jessica and the face armor worn by Florence Pugh as Irulan. The mask can be made to remain closed over the mouth, or open (let me know via mail when making the purchase). Then there is a sheer cape with back box pleats and train, attached to a sheer boned collar, supporting a modern rebato collar, in matching wire and pearls. The dress is in soft and rich velvet, fraturing hip padding and a super smooth finish. A set of matching mittens will complete this outfit.

The process

The dress will be bespoke: it will include a mock-up of the corset/bodice. It will fit only you, no sizes here. YOU.

Please note that the creation of this gown is a meticulous process, requiring at least 10 months to complete.

This will be a one of a kind piece, made to fit only you, and that will not have twins around the globe. It is like a one of a kind painting, a spell that will inhabit your closet.

Extra treats

If you wish to make this extra special, you can add budget to add embroidery or paint on the veil, or the use of an organic texture lace, or shibori dyed silk organza. Feathers on the headdress and a wig can also be included.
